This side event will examine the intersection of climate justice and human rights, focusing on the disproportionate impact on rural communities and Indigenous peoples. Speakers will address post-COP29 repressions, highlighting the increasing persecution of climate activists and the restrictions on civic space. The discussion will also assess the road ahead to COP30 in Brazil, advocating for stronger protections and more inclusive climate policies.
